In this 10th year of Channel Coast Log Jams, hosted by Coast Surf and Moto, an eclectic bunch of longboarders gathered bringing single-fin communities together from around our coastline for the 13th time.

The axe-adorned log trophy has the whose who of British longboarding engraved on it .. Ben Skinner, James Parry, Richard Balding, Jordan Zervas to name a few and stand out locals Mike Winter, and Ben Brown.

A grassroots event, that felt like something much bigger, in spirit of course, but also due to ‘the bay run’ providing tunes and commentary over a tannoy which seemed to fit perfectly .. ‘it’s the the final countdown’ blaring out with plenty of onlookers from the pier during the final moments was more befitting a Huntington Pier WSL event.

Congrats to all involved and 5 times winner Mike Winter. Mike managed some critical in the pocket nose-rides to edge out Kourosh Zahedi whom was on a tear all day .. there were some incredible moments of skill and style from all involved. The day provided clean groomed peeling waves from knee to chest high, not another surfer in sight and a flotilla of water craft joining us for a quick look. Always a special day crafting friendships and dangling toes .. all beit.. neoprene bound.

The ladies final / expression session gifted Sam Sunshine and El Morrow the line up to themselves with some of the best waves of the day rolling through. Amazing fun and skill on show.
